Entering a Job into Construction System is simple. All you have to do is click Add New Job and fill in the screen above. You can think of this as opening a container for the job. Everything you do from now on will go into that container. Remember your entire office will be in the system. In our experience, office people take to this system very well. They love it.
As soon as you enter your new job, you'll want to add job notes, finishing details, and drawings and specification to the job (unlimited files can be uploaded to each job). Just with that alone you'll probably be more organized than you've ever been. But that is just scratching the surface. There is more to Construction System - a lot more. |

The next thing you'll want to do is add assets to the asset table. Think of the asset table as a holding area for everything that goes into a job. The asset table holds things like employees, materials, rental equipment, vendors, and customers. All these things can be read into the job as you go.
The Asset Screen above is a record for a 1 inch by 4 x 8 sheet steel plate. All you need to do is enter the name of the material and the price. This is a steel plate priced at 100.00 each. The system allows you to change your asset prices easily (mass change) as prices fluctuate. A material record like this is an example of something that may be added to the job. You'll want to enter your employees, material, and other assets that go into jobs. |

The final step is to add the assets to the job as you work. The screen above shows how you do that. Note there are five sections for every job: standard labor, overtime labor, equipment, rental equipment, and material. In the example above we are making a material entry to a job (see orange circle). To make the entry simply pull down the list (entry lists are built from the asset table), and enter the quantity (on right). In this example we are adding four 1 inch by 4 x 8 steel plates to the job.
Labor works the same way. In the labor section the pull down list shows all your employees. Simply pull down to select the employee, enter the hours worked on this job, and you're done. When you've entered everything for the day, click enter. |

Can you imagine having something like this screen above? This is what a typical job in Construction System looks like. It has all the job data, job notes, drawings, specifications, labor, equipment, and materials in a single place. You can see that everything is editable so you can fine tune. Everything is delineated and priced. From here you press a button, create an invoice, and send it to the client. Construction System clients have run these systems for years.
This is not an expensive system. Your people can and will embrace it regardless of their computer skill. All this takes place for less effort than you're putting in now. Typically companies will have one person that handles the labor entry. This puts you in position to truly control your Construction business.
